uummmm not too sure about these... can see some probs arising with them, like splined axles always become worn and baggy(if you ride often)also with bb's getting smaller, I can see the sideload these cranks will create when installing maybe very bad for the bb......still time will tell, always good to see fly pushing the boundry's
I think I like these cranks. I usually tighten the crank bolt on one side right up anyway and leave it on. Im a little unsure about where the pedal boss it connected. BTW, did you know that Guiri from fly went to Uni in Oxford in 1993 and used to ride the Cowley road ramps all the time?
might be good, might be rubbish. Gonna agree with alex in that I usually do one side up as much as poss and just tighten the other one as it needs it, so kinda makes sense. I am thinking that gaping hole on one side will get full of crap/water too. Rubbish
My love of bikes goes way back, as with most folks I started to ride as soon as my lil legs could pedal & I haven't really stopped since. From little kids bikes to BMX to MTB's & road bikes, I've owned & loved them all.
Love the tech side of bicycles & always have to take things apart to see how they work & try & make them better. Made some great friends through bikes & look forward to meeting some more…

ReplyDeleteas you say m8, time will tell... although if they have been running them for 2 years already, I'm sure they have made them bullet proof!
