    it weighs in at 4 1/2 lbs... which is pretty heavy for a ti frame

    indeed, but it would probably be a lot stronger than these tinfoil thin 4 1/2 lb cromo frames around these days!!! think we are coming to the point where shit isn't going to cut it anymore, peoples bikes are just going to fold sooner rather than later ;-)
