heres a few I like: DMR v12's mag w/ti caps & ti pin's £55( v light )
the new gusset slim jim's £30
and the dk distortion's super strong & light but nearly£100.... I would go alex's way of thought with the sx and dx crossbreed, you could even colour them up to suit your bike!

  1. I had a look into the Attila pedals as they were only £18-£20 & they weighed in at around 400gms. Not seen those gusset ones so will have a look into those too. I do find it hard to justify spending a lot of money on pedals for some reason!?! Cheers for the nfo dude...

  2. 9 times 0ut of 10, your hands and feet are the only connection with that body extension we call a BMX, I've always put a great amount of thought into grips(will rock easton I,D'S till they stop making them) & pedals coz if 1 or both are wrong, bad days is all you will see, its good to see someone thinking before they buy, to many riders get stuff because its fashionable(slam bars at the moment) or coz it looks nice in that colour... then wonder why they find it harder to do some stuff they found easy before..... prime example, the other day alec(banbury local) just purchased some slam's, got his lever in a wierd position,I tryed to give him some advice on how to set up his lever & brake only to be laughed at by the boy's, o.k do your way I thought,he's now struggling to make any lip tricks (blunts, tiretaps etc)?????????????????????

  3. Yeah but as long as you have chrome slams you don't need to be able to do any tricks?!?!

Can you say 'form over function'

You know I don't give a rats aris whats hot, I just want something that's gonna work & will go the distance... & also lighten up my heavy bike ;-)

Those gusset pedals are £45 for the mag versions, which puts them in the same boat as the DX's...

  4. I had some DMR V12s a while ago and the disign of them was strange. The spindle was free to slop about on the bearings and the end cap (usually just a dust cover) clamped on the end of the spindle to stop it moving. If the end cap came loose the whole cage would move about and make a right noise. They might be better now but look out for that. I found it out when I was swapping over the spindles from right to left for my LHD hub and non LHD cranks.

  5. tis a strange design, if you tryed to crank up the end caps to stop them coming loose, the allen key hole strips( ally version), plus I could never understand why only a small single bearing on the outside of the axle(although I've only ever broken 4-5 in as many years) whats more strange is that until the dk distortion's, this design was used in all sealed pedals which have a roller(outside) and needle bearings(inside)
