nagging women

Now, me 'n' the miss's have been
having abit of a "loud" discussion
about our down stairs toilet...
she believes that I'm being
UNREASONABLE!!!...
Now, I would keep them in the
sheds.. but I have 3 cars, 2 of which are
"work in progress's" so the sheds are full
of parts I will proberbly never use!!
so the next logical place would be?...
the down stairs toilet, right..
(I mean, why do we need 2 toilets?)
so boys I need your help on this one,
please post your comments of support
stating that this "IS "prefectly normal
and YES I do need all these bikes...
coz we can't let,'um win now can we!!!

  3. Hows about a compromise? build a mezzanine floor halfway up the wall & keep the bikes on that!?! then when nature calls you can drop trou' at the door & shuffle backwards 'till you reach the bowl! :-)

Everybody 'appy & domestic harmony is restored...

  4. Im not really bothered where you keep them (my bike is next to me right now in my bedroom and in the spare room there is 2 PK ripper frames, a Holmes frame and my bike tools and pads (amoungs other crap in there). What I want to know is what all the bikes in your loo are? comeon, give us a rundown.

  5. well.... there are 2 gt micro power series race bikes & 1 gt junior power series race bike...these are amazing race bikes, internal headsets, everything sealed, less than 10lbs in weight, they retail at £360 each...I got them for £160 each, my girls race these bikes through the milton keynes race club( very competitivly )then theres the vektar, my everyday fly, fly/suelo flat bike (check old posts for run downs on these ) and a mates flat bike, missing are my DK cruser ( in 1 of my shed's) and my new ride which is very much under raps at the mo.... to come still are my old school bike (still can't think what to build)... a mid school bike maybe a homeless player with hoffman & g-sport parts, 4 pegs 2 brakes.... plus when my new ride is finished then I might turn my every day bike into more of a street bike, shit I hope she don't read this!!!

  10. Lets here more about your mid and old school builds. I know I am really sad but I am well into that kind of thing now. Ive got 1 or 2 old 80s builds and several 90s builds. I love 80s bikes but they cost too much. 90s bikes are still nice and cheap!

  11. Ian ; yep gona go with the ody cass hub, but with RNC ti driver, BSD ti axle & knight ti wheel nuts, hold off on that fishing shop thing I'll go down n see how much those scale are and buy some ( been using the bathroom scales )

al; mid school wise i'd like to build a homeless player (1995) with hoffman superforks & stem combo, powerlite 4 peice bars, g-sport/peregrine wheels, profile cranks, tuffneck power ring , ad990's, fishbone ufo(i'm not taking the piss), hoffman loral & hardy pegs, skid mark tyres, elf 2 peice post and a selle royal seat.... so if you of anywhere or anyone that might be able to help out with this let me know (I think the frame is gona be the hardest bit to sort out)...... old school wise??? I really don't know, the frames gota have 990 mounts coz I want to ride it properly ( or was there a caliper brake that worked?) bar's maybe some v bars as im a bit of a fan of them, 1 piece cranks, thats about as far as i've got... although I just thought about the wheelset and its gota be the shimano dx hubset (cassette) and araya rims, give me you thoughts on this lot, again any help is welcomed

  12. I've got a few older parts that your welcome to dude...I'll have to dig them out for you. Pretty sure I've got a Nippon caliper for the front & you could go with a pitbull for the rear... they sucked!

Shimano DX hubset sounds a bit old school race bike to me? get some Manly 95's wheels for that baby!!!

  16. I think if you are going to have a 990 on your old build you are kinda limited to Haro or GT. I think they were the first people to put 990s on BMXs and maybe the only ones using them in the 80s. (They then stopped putting them on at the end of the 80s for a while cos the kids complained to the shops that the brakes were too hard to set up!). Unfortunatly those mid to late 80s GT performers and Sports go for quite a lot of money now (£200 ish). Using a pitbull would be OK but wouldnt work that well. I have just got a brand new putbull 1 from a mate for my 1991 dirtbike built (it was before S&M put 990s on frames)

  17. Oh, if anyone has any "Race" wheels going, I need a couple of pairs. I have a 1994 Holmes Im building and also a late 90s challenger. It would be good to put Super pro 48s on the Holmes but they are hard to find.
